Really, they hit the nail on the head with that slogan: “Because it works.” I think when people ask us Weight Watchers why we do it, that’s nearly always been the response. Their program is always on the cutting edge of making the science of weight loss accessible.
That being said, if you’re just not there yet with committing or coughing up the money (this is what held me back for quite a while, I’ll admit), I think you’ll still get the jist that my low PointsPlus® recipes can easily be used by those not on Weight Watchers® . For example, my best friend Ash and I shared recipes all the time while she was on Apex, while my diabetic aunt and vegan friends use (some of) them as well.
Speaking of vegans, I tried the Weight Watchers® lentil and black bean chili recipe last night and loved it. If you have e-tools, simply search for the recipe name. I used our Anolon Advanced Nonstick pot (great wedding gift!) so didn’t use the olive oil and saved a point per serving. I also substituted three shakes of red pepper flakes for cayenne (since I didn’t have any). It was pleasantly spicy but not overboard!
Original recipes coming soon so stay tuned!
